Grinchy Christmas Tree Cut Out Cookies...

...for the Bah Humbug in Your Life!

Is there a Bah Humbug person in your everyday life? Well, here’s the perfect cookie for them – the chartreuse green Grinchy Christmas Tree Cookie with the “wilted” tree. Have fun with that!

These are quick and easy! Turn your cut out Christmas Tree Cookies into bright wilted green Grinchy Christmas Trees this year. You don't need a new cookie cutter. And, you don’t need to adjust your cookie cutter, either by bending it or cutting off part of the cookie before you bake. Use the tree cookie cutter you've always used. Paint the background with snow white melted candies. Then pipe a bent-over green pine tree on the cookie. Decorate it with sprinkles and voila! You have a really Grinchy Christmas Cookie!

-This blog is about the decorating of the Grinchy tree, not the recipe. So, begin by making your own favorite cutout sugar cookie recipe. Or, make it easy on yourself and purchase store bought cookie dough to cut and bake.

-NOTE: I make my cookies ahead and freeze them, undecorated, so I can decorate them when I want them for eating or a special event.)

-Then get some white candy melts for the backgrounds on the cookies, along with some colorful sprinkles.

-Spread the melted candies over the tree.

-Make your favorite green piping frosting and pipe your best, or worst, bent-over Christmas tree on the cookie.

-While the frosting is still wet, plop a star on the top and sprinkle some fun colorful decorations on the limbs.

Surprise the Grinches in your family with these cute little trees. Or, have them help you decorate them. It’s also a fun project for the kids, so let them join in!

Serve with hot chocolate and the Fireball Whiskey Truffles I've developed.

WHO-ever your Grinches are, have a Merry Christmas and “Bake your own Memories!”
